One of the memories I’ll always have of my uncle is him taking my siblings and I to Broadway to see The Lion King when we were kids. I remember how exciting it felt to be out on Broadway with him, exploring the city and taking it all in. Over the years, I’ve appreciated his thoughtful approach to life and chill demeanor. I’ve also loved his response to my corny jokes and bubbly energy, as he’d always give me a warm and amused look or a smirk which always made me laugh. I’ve enjoyed watching him play dominoes and the calculations and intensity he put into every move. And I like to think he appreciated my singing, because whenever I tried to convince him to sing or participate in karaoke at family gatherings, he’d always find a way to turn it back around on me. Rest well and in perfect peace, Uncle George 🙏🏽✨ You are loved and you will be missed!

A man of wisdom anchored in humility. His empathetic ear, unconditional love and care made everyone around him special. I was reflecting on how his taste buds took him back to Jamaica in July, 2026 when sent me a text “Bring me back a box of Juicy Beef or Tastee patties and a bucket of KFC chicken if you can”….and of course, it became everyone’s business including Mom Amy and Dennis to make sure George received his order, not knowing this was soon going to be a goodbye.
Vivette, thank you for taking good care of our George. May the LORD God remember all your sacrifices. Pray for your strength, comfort and peace.
Brandon, well done for supporting your mom in taking care of your Dad, you set a great example.
Mom Amy, you raised a gentleman and leader. Thank you for all those hearty and tasty meals including rundown you made for George in support of Vivette. May God comfort you, strengthen you, and give you peace during this difficult time.
My dear husband Dennis, my precious sister-in love Sheryl and my brothers in-love, Kingsley, Robin, Mark and Joey, family gatherings will not be the same without George, pray for God to strengthen and comfort you.

Today, as we honor the life of, George, someone whose presence brought warmth, laughter, comfort, and meaning to so many lives.
It is difficult to find words for a loss like this, because a true kind person cannot be replaced. George was a source of encouragement, and a beautiful part of the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, strength, and unforgettable spirit made ordinary moments unforgettable. We will always treasure the memories we shared, the conversations, the laughter, the support, and the moments that may have seemed small at the time but now mean so much. George had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. His life was truly a gift to his family and friends, and his impact will continue through the love he gave and the memories left behind.
Though our heart is heavy with grief, I am grateful for the blessing of having known and loved such an amazing person. His absence will be deeply felt by his friends and family, but his spirit will never be forgotten. George will live on in our hearts, in our stories, in our laughter we continue to share.
Rest peacefully, our dear friend. You were loved beyond words by everyone, and you will be missed beyond measure. Until we meet again, we will carry you in our hearts.

I came to meet the Dillon family some 39 years ago when Dennis became the pastor of my home church in Brooklyn. I quickly came to know George, as Dennis and I became business partners shortly thereafter. George was the person to go to when you needed information about any and every thing -- if by chance he didn't know, he'd find out and get back to you, always willing to help, patient and thorough. Back in 2007, he was very instrumental in guiding my husband and I through the financing process of our first home in South Orange, NJ.
George was always loving and caring in his own way. I remember when Dennis had emergency surgery and asked me to call George to let him know, the first thing George said was, "But he's gonna be alright, right??" Very concerned, he kept calling me throughout the day until the surgery was completed so he could rest comfortably knowing that Dennis was ok.
I thank God for having known George as a friend and brother, and extend much love to Vivette, Brandon and the entire family, trusting God to comfort and strengthen us all during this time of loss.

Tribute From Cousins Maria Wollery in England and Cousin Moureen Peru in USA❤️🌎
My cousin Maureen and I first became acquainted with George when he visited our grandmother, Christie, in Jamaica where we grew up. Those visits became a familiar and special part of our lives, and over time we came to know George not just as family, but as someone whose presence brought warmth, kindness and love whenever he was around.
We were blessed to know and love such a kind and generous soul. George always showed so much love to our family, and that love was always returned.
From an early age, whenever George came to visit his grandmother, he made sure everyone felt loved and included. He never made anyone feel any less than special. His warmth, generosity and affection were simply a part of who he was, and those are the qualities we will always remember about him. We all thought George, affectionately known as Shaka, was Christie’s favourite, and that special bond between them was clear for everyone to see.
George was a favourite cousin to many and was deeply loved by all of the extended family who grew up around his grandmother. The memories we shared, the love he gave us and the way he made people feel will stay with us forever.
Although it is incredibly hard to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that George has now gained his wings. His love, his kindness and the memories he gave us will continue to live on through all of us who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. George, you were loved beyond words, and you will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

When I think of Uncle George, my strongest memory is him telling Brandon to look out for me when he and I were in high school together. In fact, I think Uncle George would really get on his case about it, to the point where I think poor Brandon probably got a little tired of hearing it. But as a shy and awkward girl at the time, even though it may have seemed like a small thing, it meant a lot to me.
I also remember staying at his house in Florida and Uncle George introducing Brandon, me, and friends to golf. We spent the whole time just practicing our swings, and I remember being surprised by how difficult it actually was. I think I missed the ball more often than I hit it.
In recent years, at family gatherings, what I remember most about Uncle George is that even as he was becoming weaker from his battle with cancer, he would always ask me how I was doing.
He was the one who was going through it, yet he asked how I was doing.
And it never felt like it was just politeness or a formality. It always felt genuine.
Like he was still looking out for his young niece.

George and I shared so many laughs and meaningful discussions about life. He became like a big brother to me and has left his footprint in my life journey. He was full of words of wisdom but always had time to add in the humor. He will be missed.

As the eldest sibling, George was "first" for me in so many ways. He was the quintessential big brother—sovereign in his role, yet deeply devoted to it. He didn’t just hold the title; he lived it by leading, protecting, and always being there for his younger siblings.
When I trace back the greatest influences in my life, George is at the top of the list. My passion for art, my love for soccer, and whatever little sense of style I possess—I owe it to him.
He had an unwavering belief in excellence that continues to inspire me. George seemed to excel at everything he did, and even if he struggled behind the scenes, neither his attitude nor the final product ever showed it.
Before I say this... I must state an obvious fact: our mother and father only produced adorable and good-looking children.😉 That said, our mother often says that I am the most handsome of the brothers—which is true!😅 — but let's be honest, George truly was the best-looking of us all.
He was a pillar of strength, He leaves a massive void in my life, and I will miss him dearly. My brother George Arthur Dillon will forever reign, forever inspire, and is forever loved.

My life is no longer fully at 100%, nor will it ever be again. When I was born, some 67 years ago, there was George. Not until I became a teenager did I get to know my real name. At that time, George’s ‘pet’ name was Shaka (from the Zulu king)and I was simply known as Shaka Brother. In Jamaican patois, I was ‘Breda. Until my other siblings came and even after they came, you would always hear about Shaka and Breda. When my sister Sherly came on the scene as the only girl, she did not hang out with us boys and I cannot recall her getting into any of the trouble George and I often stumbled into. . . George was not just my big brother, he was a mentor, sometimes a mentee and a friend… He guided me in my real estate deals and many business initiatives. A pillar of quiet strength and mild-mannered sternness.

A Tribute to George
Death has a way of reminding us that our time together is never guaranteed. It reminds us to cherish the people we love, to say what needs to be said, to forgive, to embrace, and to never take family for granted.
When I think about George, I don’t simply think about someone I met more than 30 years ago. I think about someone who, over the course of those years, became a meaningful part of my life and, in every sense that mattered.
When I think of family, words like transparency, trust, love, and kindness immediately resonate in my heart. And when I think of George, I see those qualities reflected in him.
He was true to himself—kind, dedicated, compassionate, genuine, and dependable. What I appreciated most about George was that what you saw was what you got. He didn’t pretend to be someone he wasn’t. His heart showed through in the way he treated people, the way he cared, and the way he was there for those he loved.
George had a quiet way of showing love. He was there when it mattered. He gave of himself, cared deeply, and treated people with dignity and respect. His kindness was not something he performed—it was simply a part of who he was.
Thirty-plus years gives you many memories: conversations, laughter, family gatherings, difficult moments, and ordinary days that we did not realize would one day become precious memories. Today, those memories are treasures.
As we mourn George, we also celebrate the gift of having known him. We celebrate the man he was, the lives he touched, and the love he shared with his family and those around him.
George, thank you for more than 30 years of being a part of my life and our family. Thank you for the trust, the kindness, the compassion, and the memories that will continue to live in my heart, and the hearts of family, who knew and loved you.
Rest peacefully, George.

To think about my brother George is to think about love, kindness, generosity, laughter, and unwavering support. George was more than my brother; he was someone who made me feel loved, valued, and never alone.
One of the things I will always cherish is the way George extended himself to make me feel supported. Whenever I needed him, he found a way to be there. His generosity went beyond words—he willingly shared his time, his resources, his help, and his substance. He gave freely and without making anyone feel indebted to him. That was simply the kind of person George was.
He was hardworking and responsible, yet he had a fun-loving spirit that brought laughter and joy to those around him. His presence, his conversations, his humour, and the moments we shared are memories I will treasure forever.
George taught me that love is shown through action, that generosity comes from the heart, and that family means being there for one another. Though I miss him deeply, I am grateful for the love and support he gave me and for the lasting influence he has had on my life.
I will forever be grateful for my brother George—for his kindness, his generosity, his laughter, his support, and most of all, for the love he so freely gave. His presence is gone, but his love and influence will remain in my heart forever.
Walk good bro!!!!!!

My brother-in-law, George, was a man who loved his sister deeply, and also a man who was kind and would go the extra mile to help you. I came to understand that love through the way he treated me when I was dating her. I remember one late night when I missed my bus while visiting his sister. It was late, and without hesitation, George stepped up and offered to drive me to my destination which was a good distance away. That moment remains a cherished memory and is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness leave the greatest impressions on our hearts. I respected him for that then, and I respect him for it even more today. That memory will always remind me of the man George was and the genuine love he had for his sister.

My brother George had a genuine love for board games, particularly those that required strategy, patience, and careful thought. One of my favorite games to play with him was Chinese Checkers. Whenever we played, I had to watch the game closely and pay careful attention to every move, making sure that every move he made was an honest one. He was always thinking several moves ahead, carefully developing his strategy with the ultimate intention of winning. His ability to strategize challenged me to think more carefully and strategically as well, and because of him, I became a better player. Our games often lasted much longer than they did with others because we were both skilled and neither of us was willing to give up easily. Those competitive games created many wonderful memories filled with concentration, laughter, and friendly challenges that I will always treasure. Looking back, I realize that I was not simply playing a game with my brother—I was learning from him. Though George has made his final move in this life, the lessons he taught me, the memories we shared, and the love between us will remain with me always.

George, you were my brother and a part of my life from the very beginning. As the eldest of our family, you were already there as I was growing up, and throughout my life you were always part of the story of our family.
We came from the same home, shared the same family, and grew up surrounded by the memories, experiences, laughter, and challenges that shaped all of us. Although each of us followed our own path in life, the connection we shared as brothers could never be erased.
Now, when I think of you, I think not only of my brother, but of all the years and memories that connect us. Those memories will always remain with me.
You will always be my brother, George. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten. Rest In Eternal Happiness.
